I notic that you don’t actually complain about your stretchmarks, rather see them as a reminder as to why you are taking care of your body. Good on you! And yes, KFC .. smells so good, treats you so mean! I always feel sick after eating it

And, being from a familiar with a history of big, short arses, I am jealous of your defiance of the gene pool! LOL

Thanks Nomie & Maxabella for all of your thoughts! I’m in the process of going through everything in our lounge room and just tidying up in general and then I’ll get to work with stuff for the walls – I’ve got my little action plan and I’ll be sure to share it with you!

We are renting at the moment after a long stint of home owning. It was hard at first, but we have managed to make the home ours in a few ways.
* we smack nails in willy nilly to hang all our art work. The walls are white & we can patch it & paint when we leave.
* Bought and hung our own blinds & curtains that we can then take with us.
* All our furnishings are a similar colour and all the soft furnishings are shades of red or black, I buy from markets, ikea, where ever, but stick to the same tones. Our furniture is a mix of new, vintage & antique, so we don’t look like we live an a catalogue, but it speaks of us (if that makes sense)
* Every room here is filled with stuff we love. But I try to make sure any new purchase has a purpose and fits in with the over all look of the house (which is kinda eclectic, hippy, retro, yeah what a mix!) I have favourite 2nd hand stores I love to go to, and have sourced some great retro stuff off eBay.
Also, every few months we go through and re-sort stuff & make a list of what needs to be bought, stored etc… and stick to the list.

Hi Jade – thanks for visiting my blog. It’s always lovely to meet a new blogger. We also lived in London in my twenties (for four years) before we married. So a bit in common there!

I know that itchy feeling when your home isn’t how you would like it to be. As you’re renting, your ideas are all good ones. You just need to surround yourself with the things you love and worry about the rest when you are more permanent.

I’ll enjoy following your progress. x

I do follow your blogs when you publish them! I do think once you have something like the big move over this side of the world, it’s easier to blog about those types of things in a public setting without sharing too much information.

I understand though what you’re saying, I was there during the Creep-o-rama days of LJ!
